Manchester/Birmingham

Hi all, potentially moving to Manchester in the next 6 months and looking for some advice. Where is best to live for a guy my age? Whats areas and transports like? Anyone from Manchester or surrounding care to give any advice at all? Moving for a new job but have no clue at all and hoping to visit soon to get a good scope of the place. Thanks

If you want deli/ coffee shop culture Didsbury /Chorlton in south .Both are on metro so good for transport .

Cheaper option is Monton, which has a good vibe and Salford quays where the bbc is based is nice,

There are loads of flats in centre of Manchester City centre

Central

Definitely travel and spend some time here, getting to know it better. And really enjoying it too.

Flats in the city centre sky high rents so look for out of the centre. Most of greater mancs have good transport links in to the centre and salford quays is ok but then again expensive to rent.Bury has a tram link to manchestrr also altrincham too and look around the worsley area but not cheap to buy a house tho.
