Whilst Oxford falls in the South East category it does seem to be at the Northern end.
Often meets in the West Midlands are closer to us than ones in the South East!
Just pop a status up when you’re hear and then browse local updates. It’s worked for us when we’ve been on holiday elsewhere.

Oxfordshire is a weird one, we sit right on the north west edge of the south east and just south of West Midlands, so it can be tough
As John said above post a local status when you arrive and I am sure you will be found. From Oxford ( OX postcode) you don’t have to go far north to be a (CV) Coventry post code or south to (RG) reading post code
