Naturist groups see huge increase in numbers since the pandemic
While we have all lost some of our freedoms during lockdowns over the last year, some people have been freeing themselves in other ways.
British Naturism, an organisation for people to do nude activities, said it has seen an increase of 12% in sign-ups since the pandemic.
Its president, Mark Bass, told Sky News that membership numbers have been growing slowly for the last couple of years but the "stay at home" orders have encouraged more people to make changes in their lives.
"If you're working at home, you can work in a way that you feel comfortable," he said, adding that "a lot of people are simply just not getting dressed" if they don't have to go into the office.
He added that others have had more time to sunbathe in their gardens in the nude.
The group has been running online events such as exercise activities to help support each other through lockdown. |
