In Scarborough town centre the other day I noticed quite a lot of properties were being demolished while others had been demolished leaving the site levelled. Searching the net for info I found that Stockton on Tees council is proposing to demolish approximately 25 percent of the High Street shopping facilities. Including a rooftop car park. When levelled the site is to be sown with grass.
Are other towns in the nation having their town centres demolished? |
