Hi
We were made aware by a friend on this site that someone has took one of our friend-only pictures and uploaded it to another site without our knowledge or consent.
One of their photos was also uploaded.
Has anyone else come across this? We have emailed the site, and demanded that the photos be deleted permanently and that the person who has done it be reprimanded.
So annoying, and now we have made all our pictures totally private, it feels like we have been let down. Not sure who on friends list has done it but we have all the information from the other site about this person |

There is a website that you can visit and find out which other sites have your photos and images on them.
It was a big supprise to find that a close friend had used images on other sites including the "hamster" site.
We have learnt our lesson regards photo taking during playtimes and by who. |

Could you give us the address for this website so we can check if any of our photos have been re-posted?

Problem with tineye, google and other sites is they can only search pics in the open - sites like fab and others don't allow search engines to peruse their database (ie if you search for one of your pics it (hopefully) won't return ANY results) |

Yes its happened to us twice and weve found out by people asking if we are xyz on abc forum - we're obvioulsy not.
It annoys us as someone is obviously scamming some poor swingers for whtever reason and using our pics - which is why we now spatter them with our fab I.D. We only use fab as its robably the best site around right now.

We were just really annoyed, cause it was a facial picture of the Mrs that had went up - which is in our friends-only gallery, so we had to go make all our pics private so no one could see them at all. We mailed the site and they removed the pictures...I don't think they were too impressed with us saying they may want to consider actually verifying pictures before uploads though!! x |

From the sites FAQ regarding pics been copied:
Why don't you right-click protect our photos to stop others stealing / saving them?
We believe in being straighforward with the members of Fab. Right click protect doesn't work and gives a false sense of security by pretending to "protect" images. Other sites may pretend they've protected your images but actually they're being dishonest by claiming that.
Right click "protect" can be gotten around in under 2 seconds by any of the following methods:
Simplest: Goto File menu, Save As, and save to desktop = The photos will be in a folder on your desktop that your browser has created.
OR... Disable JavaScript by going to Tools menu, choose Internet Options, Click the Security tab, click Custom Level, scroll to the "Scripting" section of the list and click Disable. Right click can now be used to save images.
OR... Press print screen and the image + page will be copied to clipboard where it can be pasted into a graphics program for resize or save.
We give you three privacy options on your photos and we now hide images from anyone who isn't a member of Fab. If you are worried about someone stealing your photos you may want to set them to be viewable only by your friends, or private in which case you can send by private mail.
We also now watermark all photos upon upload.

Anything that is published on the internet is going to be available to be copied, except of course those pics you put in your private folder (for email only), unless of course you then email them and they are copied lol.
What I suggest to people is:
Public gallery:
Only have pics on there that would be on facebook etc... ie, fully clothed, faces hidden if you like, at least to give someone an idea of your body type/size. If these are copied and shown elsewhere, you have a plausable excuse that someone stole them from facebook and made up a profile on fabs
Friends Only Galley:
Ok, maybe put some sexual pics in this gallery, but ensure your faces/tattoo's/unique furniture isnt in the background or on show. Then if these are copied... how can they be linked to you?
Private Only gallery:
These get sent out via fabs email... again, maybe have normal, full body shots, clothed with faces... again if the recipient copied them or did something inappropriate then they must of taken them off facebook.
