If the weather does improve, you will need to get there at sparrow`s fart to get a parking place! It has been commonplace for all car parks including the NT emergency overflow car park to be full by 11.00am. Don`t attempt to park on the verges near the car park entrances as you will get a little ticket from Dorset Council! Parking along Ferry Road near the Fire Point is OK. If in doubt, find out the route for the bus that links Sandbanks and Swanage and use that. It stops right by the Fire Point! |

"Never heard of it. Anyone tell me more?"
The NT Official Naturist Beach on the Studland peninsular, south east Dorset. Play is not permitted and NT patrols do exist. |

Yeh, you need to be careful where you park.
It’s been crazily busy there all summer so will need to get there early.
Getting out is a nightmare too.
The queues for the ferry have been horrendous and the other way through Corfe hasn’t been any better.
So you need to leave either mid-afternoon or get comfortable and wait til the evening when it’s less busy.
It’s gorgeous here today though |

Next time I`m going to try going back into Swanage because the Corfe queues are only because of the steady flow of traffic on the main road! |

"We were there yesterday, car parks were full but plenty of parking on the road.."
As previously stated. Parking along Ferry Road (either side of the Fire point access path) is fine but tickets/tow away by the NT car parks.
Get there at sparrows fart or take the open top bus from Bournemouth! |

Been there around 13 times this year, and all was good.
Park within the yellow line, don't block any access gates, don't be an idiot (forcing your car into a tight spot) and you'll be fine.
Latest we arrived was 12:45pm, during the June 28'c Friday (otherwise known as the Bournemouth scandal) and there was parking - but an extra 20min walk along the road to get to the ferry road path. Be there early during a 'peak, hot day' - that means starting your journey very, very early to avoid traffic. |

Parking on the verge where there are yellow lines will get you a ticket" I`ve seen it time and time again! |

Follow the rules, parking on verges is fine on allocated segments of the road - namely, the clear ones between the shortcut and Knoll's beach. They even manage the shrubs to make parking easier. There's a distinct sign that shows where it stops and no longer allowed. The people I see with PCNs are the ones who parked overnight, are idiots who forced a car into a tight spot using fancy parking positions, or the ones who parked from Knoll's beach toward Studland town. |

Follow the rules, and you'll be fine.
The parking allowed sign (except on the times mentioned):

The sign that shows you can't park on the verges near Knoll's beach, and towards Studland town (10am-7pm, 15 March to 30 Sept)

And news that show people parking badly are the ones caught (mostly cars not within the yellow line):

You will get done even if you are wholly on the verge! You will also get done if you are "obstructing the highway! Yellow lines don`t make any difference in this case! |

We've been 13 times this year, everything ok for us. Also no problems for our friends. I don't like the false information since new nudist who want to try Studland might get discouraged. It's correct, helpful information we got from Fabs and online research that made us a Studland regular during sunny days. |

Having seen the cars with their tickets and the Dorset Council person putting them on even more cars, everything I`ve said is the truth and I have mentioned it time and time again to help those not familiar with the area to enjoy their day out and not have it spoilt. |

"Your spot on we have seen it every time we go
Best to leave car over the other side of ferry and walk round
Need to get up early though "
No need to go that far! Parking along the straighter part of Ferry Road either side of the fire point is fine, just keep as tight to the verge as you can to give the cars chance to pass. |

I think some camper van owners take the hit of £35 (if paid within 14 days) - means you don't have to face the traffic, you're there first thing in the morning and you're not paying for a pitch or a hotel room. |

They have a nice system and community going-on. If I remember correctly, the parking inspection starts at 5 or 530am from Shell Bay, and that's when they leave and hangout in Studland Vill/Swanage for a bit. Once the inspector passes their preferred spot, they can go back to it. And, they're nice enough to warn/wake-up campers to say the warden is coming. |
