Hey all

I know this is a long shot but if anyone could maybe help.

I’m looking for somewhere cheapish, with maybe some sun.

Will unfortunately be alone and also looking to go last minute at the start of October of middle October for a few days to a week.

Does anybody have any ideas as right now I’m struggling.

Thanks in advance

Puglia, Italy.

Not that I’m biased, my partner is from there. Wonderful food, beautiful places.

Most of the Greek islands should still have things going on early October but cheaper hotels and bars do start to close by mid October on many of the smaller ones. The Canaries can be good value with plenty going on but may be a bit more money.

Costa Blanca Spain...

For almost guaranteed weather you really should be looking at the Canaries, ideally the southern end of either GC or Tenerife. The mountains tend to hold any cloud to the north end of both islands so Las Palmas or Puerto de la Cruz could be iffy. Lanzarote and Fuertaventura can be nice but can also be very windy.

Mainland Spain can be good at that time of year but (especially on only a short break) you could also get a dodgy few days, as we are experiencing at the moment.

Mallorca and Ibiza are best avoided then.

Turkey can be cheap but again hit and miss with the weather, ditto Greek islands.

About the only other place (without going long haul) would be Cyprus. Usually good weather but can be a bit pricey compared to Spain.
