went to the come back bar in cran g did not think much of it at all very small had to drink drinks out side as it waz to full well 30 peeps and its full 6 euros pint of lager sorry did not think much of it at all |

I think the Comeback bar is what it is, I consider it only as a meeting point prior to moving on to a Club!
Can't say I noticed the prices tbh but most we ever had was a couple of drinks there and then move on.
Sex Appeal, which had just opened the last time we were there maybe more of what you are looking for?
We are going back in 6 weeks time and will certainly try Sex Appeal again, but will also use Comeback Bar! |

Sex appeal is even more expensive..we were over there at xmas..and never saw more that 4 guys and 2 couples in sensless...Come back is idea just to meet up before you go on, we find the guys are alllways pleasent and willing to give you advise on what clubs to go to...It is true its small..BUT..we enjoy it....xxx |

Must admit, we don't go in Comeback Bar now. We go straight to 2x2 club. The Bar is useful if you are there for the first time or you want to meet up with your friends before going on to a club. They are very friendly but overpriced for a bar! |

Always find the comeback bar busy freindly and great to meet up before heading off to a club or just to chat with like minded, the guys running it are very nice and always helpfull, the prices are what they are dont forget your on holiday after all. |

Didn't even notice the prices there, and if I remember rightly we were on the cocktails. Gran Canaria is dead cheap alcohol wise, happy hours everywhere, it all balances out in the long run.
..... but anyway, sad to see the Comeback bar getting badish reviews on here. We went there twice, probably a little early ( or late ) for the Spanish time zone as it was pretty much empty, but the two blokes behind the bar were awesome.
One of them came and joined us "outside" where we were smoking, and we had a great laugh with him.
"Austria"
"Ah, Hitler!"
"Hitler was born in Austria, but he worked in Germany"
( guess you had to have been there )
He then later escorted us to the club downstairs and introduced us, this was after keeping the bar open for us two.
Been to many a snooty bar, in many parts of the world, where pints have cost much more. Can probably count on one hand the bars where the bar staff were so friendly and so much fun as the Comeback bar.
Oh, and the second time we were there we were heading to a club that wasn't in the complex, we were excort out of the complex and pointed in the right direction. |

we were out in g canaria at xmas ,and found the comeback bar ,small and expensive,so we started going to the sex appeal bar in the la sandia center,and much preferred that one,we are back out there at the end of march. |

Went there for the first time a fortnight ago. Being very new to the scene my wife was a bit apprehensive. We thoroughly enjoyed it was very relaxed and we felt immediately at home. It helped us take a small but very significant step so much so we ended up going 2 or 3 more times. Really enjoyed!! Can't say we noticed the prices too much cos we hit the cocktails. The after 8 cocktail is something to die for. |

We went to the 2x2 many nights as they have happy hour 10-11. Yes the comeback bar is defo more expensive for drinks but so is Venus fun4all and just about every swingers club or bar...
It's the same in Cap D Adge we think because your a swinger they think your loaded. |

Hardly the fault of anyone it not being full dont you think?
You, or anyone else who isnt happy to pay the prices they charge have the choice to take your custom elsewhere.
The Comeback Bar caters for a niche market, and personally we applaud Martin and Gerry for creating a space where people can go and enjoy a drink and relax with other likeminded people.

Heh, another anecdote, we were sitting outside with Martin (or Jerry) and this guy who looked like a classic dirty old man turns up and stands there wide eyed, frothing at the mouth.
Martin (or Jerry) stood up and said a couple of words and off the guy went.
I asked him what he said.

I can't really remember the price of the drinks thought it was 3.50 for a large beer but could be wrong. They only have a two hour window to make money, between 10 and 12pm, so I don't really mind paying a bit more to enjoy a nice place to meet like minded people.
I would always recommend that anyone new to Gran Canaria and especially new to swinging start off here as it's a great place to meet people in a friendly no pressure environment. |
