I travel with work often in Germany and am looking for any potential swingers based in the North of the country...

It would depend on where you mean by "North"

There is a lively club scene in the Essen/Dortmund/Dusseldorf area, also in and around Hamburg.

Other parts (Friesland for example) are a bit thin.

Probably better in Hamburg. Clubs "Equinoxe" and "Why Not" are quite good.
