Khoa San Road is the back-packers' area in Bangkok - lots of cheap hotels, resturants, bars and music.
There are more go-go bars in Nana Entertainment Plaza than on Soi Cowboy, plusthere are "freelancers" standing across the road outside the Nana Hotel car park.
Soi Cowboy and N.E.P. are both off a road called Sukhumvit. This is the red light district, and the two sets of bars mark the ends - between Soi 4 and Soi 21 - about a mile apart. Try to get an hotel off Sukhumvit odd-side. There is a wide range available.
