I know it's a pretty contentious place to be, but it kinda makes me sad when I see people who haven't been out here make cheap jokes about it – or reference Daily Mail articles. Yes there are some bad things here, but there is so in most countries.
Here's some positives that I've found over the past few years
– No street crime (visible anyway)
– Sunny weather
– Lots of places to drink (You can only drink in hotels? Yes, but imagine being in London and only being able to get coffee in Starbucks? Not a problem)
– Brunch (A Dubai brunch is unlimited food and drink for 3,4 hours)
– Friendly people
– Lots of different cultures
– Waterparks
– Watersports
– Boat parties
– Incredible restaurants
– Incredible food delivery
– Clubs
– Skiing
– Desert safaris
– The fountains |
