Hello all.
I'm in Dubai for a week in April. Can anyone suggest the best places to go? Or is anyone on here currently living in Dubai? Feel free to message me.

Go to the Dubai mall at night time and right next to it you have the fountains. It is not to be missed and also the Burj Khalifa is lit up by night and looks amazing too. Try and get on an open top bus tour if you can. Dubai marina and the Jumeriah beach are worth a visit. The palm, and not forgetting the Burj Al Arab as well. We went recently and saw all of that. Hope you have a good time

Tony, I live in Dubai also. It depends what your looking for, there are desert safaris that you can book, sand dune bashing in large 4x4's and traditional meals servered In desert tents after sunset, but no alcohol at this, mid week you can pick and choose the ladies nights where the ladies drink free and all ways a crowd. Or there are good pubs hidden away that get a crowd on different nights also, depends where you are staying and what's on but The Irish Village has outdoor events on and can be good. Beach activities all ways along Jumeriah beach and it will still be cool enough to go for the day. Will wadi water park for the day is good, sun loungers and food in the water park to relax or the wave pool and slides if your adventurous. Just depends what your looking for.
But not much activity on this site out here unfortunately |

Tony, you half way between Down Town and the Marina, so a taxi to either is only a few quid, if it's the weekend do a brunch, mid week try ladies night and on either of those you won't need a site to hook up
Other than that some of the paid international sites I hear have more people active on them but I'm not a member of those so I really don't know! Sorry. |

I'm here now with work. It's an amazing place but slightly strange with the no touching rules. Head for Barasti for a lively night out but keep your hands in your pockets and lips to yourself one of my mates almost got kicked out and another one almost lifted for being over amorous (with consenting girls by the way)
All the above are good. Don't miss the dancing fountains at the Dubai Mall there amazing.
If there are any ladies or couples here that fancy meeting up or anyone has tips on where to find fun or even just recommendations on things to do. I'm here till Friday morning |

I travel to this area twice a year for a holiday on my own. It's the safest place in the world. I totally love it out there and plans are being made for Novembers trip already!!! |

I agree with both of them. I live here and travelled a lot and this is one of the safest cities I have ever spent time in.
The bars and clubs are great fun and no hassle like back in the U.K. On d*unken nights out.
I really think people have the wrong impression of over here. Well worth visiting. |

Abu Dhabi has just been voted the safest city to live in / visit. Dubai was only 3 places above it, out of a list of 300 cities. You'll be fine in the UAE, people are respectful. (And afraid of going to jail!!). |

Staying at the Habtoor Beach Resort.
Looks decent. Travelling alone as well.... see what happens. I hope it ends up like the scene from Love Actually when the guy buggers off to America and meets those 3 smoking hot chicks  |

Avoid it at all costs. It's above a couple of night clubs and a frequent hunt of the ladies of the night.Could well be one of the worst hotels in the town. |

You can bring 4 bottles of duty free through.
Similar costs to U.K (more or less I think)
If you've not been here before top tip is as soon as you go through immigration you'll find duty free shops on the same place as the baggage reclaim
I grab my goodies and by the time the purchases are made my luggage is there
Depends on how long your queue is st the immigration of course, as a resident we go though the faster e gates |

Try the hotels in yas, all within walking distance of the track. If not, try raha beach hotel, beach rotana, Sheraton corniche also. |

Yas was booked out months ago and the big hotels in Abu Dhabi are way too expensive. I'm going to book the Lotus in Dubai marina. Stayed there before and I can get the metro to ibn buttata then the bus to Abu Dhabi from there. Only be for the Saturday Sunday anyway. |
