Spent 3 months touring the yucatan last year ABSOLUTELY fell in love with the place, the people.. If you get chance go and see the day of the dead festival in Cempache. Outstanding. And people, please please don't be a tourist and pay to swim with the turtles at akumul beach.. They've buoyed an area off for the dafties  Like a turtle knowa. . Just hire/buy a mask and snorkel and wade out. Look for dark patches in the water.. ( sea grass. ) trust me you'll see more turtles than with a load of screaming people in a small area  |
