Went once for Xmas and New Year, never again. Saw people being flogged in the street by police, got pestered 24/7 by locals, some trying to sell their own underage sisters/daughters for sexual purposes and wife assaulted by a 'Doctor' she was told to see about a burn. If you go, just sit by the pool all day, never leave the hotel and you'll be fine. |

"242couple, you go to Gambia, but don't say you weren't warned! " Thanks for the reply, we were asking for advice on good hotels and beaches.
We have been once before some years ago, we did not find it a difficult place at all. We are seeking advice from people that have used the newer all inclusive hotels in Gambia recently. Thanks. |

We go to Gambia every year and we recommend it for down to earth friendly people who don't mind 3rd world standards . It's very relaxing , we mix with the locals , use local transport , walk around and we can't fault it at all . We were there this February back again for Christmas. |
