"I'm in Calleta de Fuste for a week from 19th of March "
We have just been looking at calleta de fuste as looking for a villa or a apartment as wanting some outside space or a roof top terrace.
Some where to sunbath naked without having to go to the beach.
Has anyone stayed in the resort just to the south of corralejo? |

We have found some lovely villas that are reasonable rent for a week.
We like having or own space to Bbq or entertain ect.
Just can't seem to find any within walking distance of corralejo
Got Friday afternoon off so can spend the afternoon searching. |

Try Biahazul villas. On the outskirts of Corralejo and a bit pricey but you get 2 or 3 bedrooms, private pool, rooftop terrace with bbq and Jacuzzi. Supermarket within walking distance. It's a 30 minute walk into town or 6 Euro by cab. |

Its quite a walk, but short cab ride. Near the 9 hole golf course that has just closed.

"Tried to pm you but blocked
I've not actually paid as yet
But through rentalcars.com only got a quote.
They all seem to be similar prices though."
Best company we have found is "Cicar" the price they quote is for everything including fully comp insurance. Other companies quote low and then you have to pay for their Collision Damage Waver, so be careful when booking. In addition Cicar has a base at airport unlike some others where you have to get a minibus to get to their depot. Hope this helps. |

Book through rentalcars from airport, but NOT goldcars, any other.
Say no to extra insurence, and drive safely ...sorted and a bargain

Guessing you have used them?
Yes started out £70 for the car and then £55 for the insurance
Said forget the insurance and they instantly dropped to £100 all in
Still fancy my chances as you say drive safely |

We head to Corralejo on the 19th March for 2 weeks. We used Cicar last time we went to Fuerteventura and found them to be ideal, good all-inclusive price and based at the airport so no waiting for shuttle buses. |

DoYouSpain offers cheapest rental car rates. Goldcar are fine if you don't take their insurance. Instead get excess insurance for 45 pounds a year from worldwideinsure.com |

"Payless cheapest at the moment pick from airport no extras to pay £130 for two weeks in April
Have used before very good cicar usually cheapest but not at the moment "
Cicar and Payless same company, same cars owned by the local Opel dealer Ovrecame, always check both these for best price, they do swop around with prices. |

"We used goldcar and got ripped off with the extra insurance .. always use ecocar in caleta now.. going back last week in april and late sept/oct.."
Always better to not take their ripoff insurance and get your own before you go...usually around £10-£12 for 7 day hire to cover the excess... |

Not too sure if available on Fuerteventura but we have used PLUSCARS on Lanzarote and Gran Canaria. Always found them excellent value for money, no extras, no fuss, fully insured, the price they quote is the final price they charge and nice people to deal with.
Hopefully, our first visit to the Island later on this year, any advice gratefully received.
Happy to meet couples and singles.
Thanks.
Liz and Paul. xx |

totaly agree with what all have been saying in here ... stay away from goldcar known to rip people off cicar seem good and for those picking up at the airport and travelling north to corralejo they have an office here too .(could save you a trip south if there is a car issue).. most prices i see are with out add cover ... but the way parking is here on the island .. the car check at the end seems a joke ... took out the additional insurance once and havent since ... with the current price of fuel (75 cents a lts of diesel) a cheap hire car is better that a two way taxi ride ...even if you dont use it much .. any other questions feel free to ask i live here |

We use Cicar each year....never any problems. They sometimes don't have the car you booked but always give you an upgrade or very similar.

" I would avoid the dunes at corralejo unless you like a fair walk to the sea and a strong undercurrent when you get in..the ate some amazing black sand beaches here with traditional canarian bars by them ..unlike the Blackpool in the sun appeal of corralejo |

Beaches in the north are very nice .. and can only comment on the Diving in and around corralejo but it's very good for the Atlantic water temp at the mo is 18 Degs so no problems in a 5mm |
