we are off to amsterdam on 5th dec for first time, any suggestions of good bars/clubs greatly appreciated. don't wanna go as far as fun4two though, anything around the city centre.

Sameplace is meant to be good and its central - plenty of topics on here about it if you search, including me asking some questions as I'm going in about a month's time but not been before!
For other types of venues, try Susie's Saloon for a drink, that's a pretty cool bar (or was when I last went!) |

We are there that weekend too. We are not sure what to do either. Just looking forward to chilling and playing it by ear saturday evening so it might be nice to meet up with a couple and socialise a bit in the atmosphere of a sexy place. Probs go to Fata Morgana friday night as we've heard that is a lot of fun. |

Can anyone tell us what sort of taxi fare we can expect to pay from city centre out to Fata Morgana. Someone mentioned on here it's a fair way out of the city centre. Just so as we know what to expect.

fun4two is a must if you never been before but fatu and showboat are just as good have been to all of them but wouldn't bother with fun4two now we think the others offer just as much and more playing not full of posers like fun4two and if your face dont fit the guy on the door at fun4 will let you know .. |

We went about 4 years ago and it was 50 euro each way in the taxi then but try to get a price before you go or ask the club to send a taxi (think they still do this) but a piece of advice get the taxi to confirm they know where they are going as we gave the address from the website and there is another place with a simular name his sat nav took us to the middle of a field  |
