Evening all
Looking to visit the Cap for the first time in the first or second week of August.
Does anyone have any recommendations in terms of accommodation? Quite flexible in terms of budget just want to be somewhere central, lively, and fun.
If people have suggestions regards travel would also appreciate input. Looking to drive from London with a few stops on the way...
Thanks in advance |

August is a busy time, you may find it hard to get an apartment this close... try Hotel Eve, it's right on the edge, but the entire place is pretty small and we have managed to get in there when nothing else was available, they even have apartments dotted around the complex when the hotel is full. or hire a camper-van and use the camp site. |

Thanks in advance" . You might find it easier to fly to Bezier unless you are keen to drive . A member of this forum rents apartments and does a taxi service . Their name SwingatCapdagde . As August is extremely busy , you may have to stay outside the gated naturist area. You will find that both both accommodation and meals are much better value outside the gate . |

"Thanks all for your input, really appreciate it.
May revisit when we go down, possibly hitting early Sept.
Thanks again." . September is just as good and you will have a much better choice of accommodation . |

September is when we usually go, weather can turn a bit towards he end of the month but we have done several trips in the 3rd week without issue.
Flying is the easiest way, Ryan Air will get you there in about 2 hours, it's about €40 taxi ride from Beziers, almost always someone to share with, which makes it cheaper.
But if you want to drive it's best to use the motorway network until you are well past Paris, like London the traffic gets worse the closer you are to the capital. Swing West and stop in Orleon (Joan of Arc's home town) nice little town, and a huge forest around it. from there you have a few choices of route south, through proper France, the non motorway roads usually bypass the towns so it's pretty quick travel but if you are in a hurry the toll roads are not that expensive. if you share the driving you can do it in 1 day from Calais.
Outside the village is cheaper, for food and accommodation, but it's much more fun inside. Whole place is about 1k square so where you stay is not going to be much of an issue.
