Pataya or phuket.. Looking to get some feedback as to whats the best place for nightlife and which hotels are close by the main areas for night life. Going in jan so want to make the most of the place whilst there.  |

Jomtien is the better beach in Pattaya.
If you go further South the beaches are beautiful, we like Sattahip but that`s where the Thai people escape at the weekend.
Don`t forget Pattaya is a large city and the poulation can swell to 500,000.
The beach does suffer pollution. |

Phuket was not so bad years ago when we went but even back then it was expensive.
We found Phuket Town the best value but some transport is then needed.
It`s more of a general tourist price and Pattaya can be dead cheap, more of a local price.
Is there any chance of The Lounge reopening or do you have a new venue? |

Will be in Thailand from Thursday 7th May until Wednesday 13 May 2015.
Bangkok for the main, but might nip down to Pattaya for the last 3 days

I visit Thailand every 6 months staying in Bangkok then going pattaya or ko samui, I have been to koh Chang too.
If your going to pattaya it's got good nightlife and cheap to get around you want a hotel near walking street as that's the main area.
If you stay bangkok i would stay near soi 4 near nana station good hotels there are nana plaza or di-place I have details if you want them.
If you want the best of everything I would go ko samui beautiful beaches and wicked nightlife the crew has just been stopped as I was there last month when the bomb went off I was 100 yards away playing pool lol but the army have left now and it's not busy so good time to go, I would stay near ark bar as that's the main place.
If you fancy something different I would go siem reap or Phnom Penh in Cambodia so much to do and good nightlife little cheaper than Thailand |

Just bk from Samui and Phuket, just to say you can still eat out fairly cheap but the drinks are catching up on price, Samui has the best beaches but the better nighlife defo on the mainland |
