Pretty much depend on what you want. North very popular and the resorts busy. frequently tacky. Lots of music bars and d*unks and drugs. South is quieter. Beaches are smaller but nicer. Food and drink cheaper. Hotels classier |

Self catering or just B&B - the food and drink is so much cheaper than the UK.
South if you're after a laid back beach holiday - Palolem is fantastic.
North if you're party animals - take your Russian phrasebook though - zillions of them in the North.
