we were out there in august last year, was very quiet in the clubs, and we tried 5 of them, but was still a good time, the clubs are quite nice, but it all depends on who's there on the night, might even be going first two weeks of august ourselves. |

Hi Shell
We book Ryanair from EMA and then book either the Buenos Aires, Playa Del Sol or Australia Apartments on Alpharooms.com. Transfers from the airport are dirt cheap and really easy on the local bus service. All three apartment blocks are near the Yumbo Centre but also only 5 minutes from the Cita Centre and La Sandia where the singers bars and clubs are.
Let us know if you need any more info. Have fun!

just back and stayed in Buenas Aires, totally recommended booked through alpha rooms. Summer months are quiet and we prefer sept or may. Try Venus club in Cita centre |

Also, just a quick question, not sure of anyone can help out. I'm staying in maspalomas, not pdi. The rates for single traveller were a bit more reasonable there.
How easy is it to get a taxi late at night? Do they run 24 hours? And also, will I be paying a hefty price to say get a taxi back at 3 in the morning?
If anyone has any info on this, I'd really appreciate it. For those of you who know the island well, I'm staying at the Mapalomas golf area. To give you an idea of how far I am away.
Thank you. |

Cabs do run 24 hours. There is a taxi rank at the Yumbo centre, but there are always cabs driving around. We normally get a taxi back to our apartments in PDI from 2x2 club in La Sandia and it is about 4 euros maybe 5 euros at weekend, for that time in the morning, it would be a little more to Maspalomas. |

Okay great. Thanks for the info! I'll make sure to allow for that into my budget for the week! |

We are just looking to book the riu palace oasis! Heard this is the best all inclusive hotel in Maspalomas.
We are looking for the end of September.
Any feedback welcome! |

We are in Gran Canaria for two weeks from 11th August. We have just recently bought a time share in a stunning complex nearer to Puerto Rico than PDI but we're sure to head that way some days and can entertain at our apartment too...lol
Drop us a message if you'd like to meet up at all... |
