There's nothing wrong with CB bar prices. Yes they're dearer than other bars but they only have a 3 hour trading window each day. If it was that lucrative the two owners wouldn't both be working. They provide a valuable meeting point. Miaou Miaou failed despite having a larger bar and better location. The cheaper prices did for them in my view.
It's the only consistently vibrant meeting place in pdi. They must have got the balance right.
As someone who owns bars myself I'm often surprised by some people's over simplistic view of the economics of bars.
We're not the biggest community and we seem to expect clubs and bars to be open on our whim whenever we wish to visit. Its the same for clubs in the uk

Living on the island for a number of years and knowing the prices the come back bar is over the top l pay a euro a pint and two fifty a named double in kims bar in the chaperral shopping center and swingers use the bar may be kim should direct them to cash diplow and they can pass on the savings to there customers or use the locale supermaket were a bottle or drinkable wine only cost one twenty sorry about the rant but to many piss taker on this island |

With all due respect Kims bar is NOT a swingers meeting point regardless of the price of drinks.
Red plastic chairs and tables littered with the remnants of the previous customers Pie n Chips, HP sauce standing proudly in the centre. The décor consisting of anything from a Union Jack flag once owned by "Jez of Droitwich" to the George Cross which has found its final resting place having been taken to Euro 96 by "Briggsy of Leeds". Other offerings to be proudly hung on the wall range from football shirts worn by Chelsea to Fleetwood Town to Carlisle United to Norwich City. All corners of the country are covered!
Even "Maureen's" thong (size 18) has found a place, held on by 2 drawing pins, the gusset sometimes flapping in the breeze due to the third drawing pin falling out, left after she danced on the bar having had one lager n black too many.
The multitude of wide screen Plasma's beam in any notable football games, the volume of each fighting for dominance when more than one game is broadcast. Dad's sit there glued, proud to be wearing the same shirt has their heroes. Their offspring, dressed like clones sit quietly playing on the Ipad. Meanwhile Mum sits content and continues to paint her nails in readiness for that nights "live" entertainment which could be anything from a "Depeche Mode" tribute band to "Juicy Janice" a drag queen from Cardiff. |

I like Kim's but I am almost peeing in my pants laughing cause of your description 
Definitely good place for cheap breakfast and afternoon drinks though.
For cheap drinks you can also try absinthe fairy on gran chapparal. They have only one TV screen with karaoke on request.. xx |

That could just about describe 90% of Brit bars in the whole of Spain, chuck in a bit of Karaoke and you will pick up the other 10% |
