We're thinking of trying a swingers holiday in the Canaries, in either late Sept or early Oct because it should still be hot there at that time and we can't face the idea (or cost!) of a transatlantic trip.
After looking around a bit we've found Spice in Lanzarote, La Mirage in Las Palomas and Fun4All in Playa del Ingles and are wondering if anyone has been to any of these and if they could give us any advice, tips or warnings.
Some of the Trip Advisor reports are less than glowing, so we'd be interested in more opinions or suggestions of other destinations to explore. Would it make more sense to go to a vanilla hotel instead as there seem to be plenty of swingers bars, clubs and dunes for us to try?

Hi both well your right the weather should be good hope so as we are lanzarote over that period. Have not been to the other islands but look at the threads here a lot go to gran canaria it seems to be more popular. Also look at clubs section it has write ups on them all there I think well at least spice. Enjoy whatever you decide and relax and have fun xxx

Yes the weather is fabulous in September
There are loads of going around the 18th so come join us
We have stayed at la mirage in maspalomas many times but now stay in a normal hotel with a naked roof terrace as its closer to the nightlife and in walking distance to the naughty dunes
Hope you choose playa de ingles

Thanks for all the hints. Not sure if we can go in Sept yet - it's work-dependant and we won't know for another couple of weeks. Interesting that normal hotels are nearer to the action though! I dare say we can manage a walk to the dunes
When we know more, will post on here and hopefully meet up with some of you. You can show us the ropes !!

The ifa catarina hotel is the nearest hotel to the cita where 90% of the swinging fun is to be had...it has a huge nudist terrace with showers and a open air bathroom which is sureal...hehe...it now has 4 double futon style beds up there too...its a lovely 4star hotel...u can stay from room only upto all inclusive and cheapest place to book we have found is travelrepublic dot es spanish site is slightly cheaper than the uk travelrepublic
Playa del sol apartments have a nude roof too but its about a 10 min walk from the cita but its much cheaper as it closer to the yumbo centre and has fewer stars

Thanks very much for that. Someone else has mentioned Ifa Catarina so we will definitely have a look at it. As long as we're near the action, we don't really have to be in it

We found catarina great for nude terrace and walking acsess to dunes and cita centre but we are here now untill 19th Aug 2nd year at Hotel Neptuno opposite yumbo centre over 18 only Hotel 5 min walk to la Sandia centre and 2x2 and 10min walk to Cita centre and Yumbo 1min walk and own personal gate to Yumbo suprised how busy dunes have been with couples given time of year much busier than past few years although we arent complaining lol x |
