We went last year and it was a lovely holiday but it is a strict Catholic country and everything is very discreet.There is an Island swinging scene on Yahoo but it is for the local community only, except by special invite.I would advise you arrange before you go.But,saying that Malta has loads to offer and " swinging" wasn't missed at all!
