Hi ya all,

Thinking of going on surprise trip to Amsterdam with my partner for a few day next year. Would love some recommendations on hotels or places to go as neither of us have been to the “Dam”. Would be really interested in a Hotel Spa or visit a spa for a day whilst we are there. Im planning on getting the Eurostar so somewhere that isnt too difficult to get to.

Thank u all in advance

what's your budget? what facilities do you like? how in the thick of it do you want to be? what are your evening plans?

these will have a bearing on where to stay

So budget is probably a cpl of £100s a night nothing too extreme. Happy with finding something cheaper too lol. In the eve just looking for something to get the juices flowing with a bit of intrigue. Doesn't necessarily mean going straight to a swing club

ok, the two hotspots are the old centre (whats left of the redlight district) and leidseplein (the theatre district). buy a multiday ticket (24hr, 48hr, 72hr or 96 hr see GVB website). budget hotels are usually very basic and can be noisey. have a good look on booking.com and for the budget you say you have then go for a review score of no less than eight really.

Public transport, either tram or Metro is really, really good so you could stay a bit further out and get more for your money without missing out.
