"Any one visiting Dubrovnik on 19 to 21 September
Lovely spot but Wowsers it’s gone expensive "
It is the most expensive Balkan country, but with the Kuna it was still cheaper than Europe. Since switching to euro it's gone even more expensive. The trick is to go to the local cafes and bistros, avoid the tourist traps! 🤘🏼🤘🏼 |

Lucky you! 😃 I'm not in Dubrovnik but I will be in Pula from Sunday for at least a couple of months due to working arrangements...
As CustardCream says the HRK EUR change hasn't helped though things in Croatia have been a lot more expensive than people expect for a long time. That said tourism there is generally more integrated with real life and not so overdeveloped as Greece/Turkey/Cyprus (though I am biased!) |

100% agree, not overly developed but still super touristy with a healthy mix of western Europeans and Balkan countries. If you head out Croatia to Albania, I found it equally if not more beautiful, yet a fraction of Croatia prices! |
