"Doing your route but in reverse a week earlier so might pass you in a bar
Ah lovely our first time going so super excited "
You'll love it. I'd recommend Ao Nang over Krabi town if you haven't booked it all already. Nice islands to hop and Railay beach. |

Did you see the battle between Thai and Filipino katoeys on Monday night?
BTW, there are a lot of corners between Soi 11 and Nana Plaza on Soi 4. And Soi Cowboy isn’t that much farther away.

Try a night or two in Lopburi, which is about 90 miles northeast of Bangkok. It’s an army town, off the beaten track, with few tourist and no taxis.
Two tribes of wild macaques (small monkeys) roam the streets and overhead power cables. You can feed them at the historical Phra Prang Sam Yot temple ruins in Muang district.
Bargain-hunt in the night market along the railway line.
Avoid the four southernmost border provinces of Narathiwa, Pattani, Songkhla, and Yala. People there are killed during sporadic terrorist attacks by Muslim separatists.

Assuming that you’ve already:
Been to one of the monthly full moon parties on Sunrise Beach (Hat Rin Nok) on Ko Pha-ngan (an island in the Gulf Of Thailand, off the east coast).
Seen the “James Bond” Island, Ko Phing Kan (in the Andaman Sea, off the west coast). It’s small and has no accommodation.

Done Lopburi, only did Songkhla enroute to Alor Setah in Malaya. All a very long time ago though.
Thanks for the alternate recommendations |
