Depends on what you want to do

Metro system is good and inexpensive so you could stay on the outskirts and be in the city centre in 10-15 mins of that's your preference

Well for example the Jewish quarter was ideal in Budapest so is there a steer like the old town or new town?

If I had a choice old town is great, near to everything that you need.

Loads of bars, clubs and other activities
