Southern Goa (Palolem) is my choice, proper chilled and relaxed without all of the commercialisation of the North..especially Baja/Calangute

Most of the hotels are in the South and sone of the 5 star ones have private beaches. The North is more local than touristy, so, beautiful greenery, etc and sone amazing restaurants! If you’re not beach people then either the North or even the capital- Panjim- is lively and fun!

Most amazing place is Baga beach and the key attraction, alcohol is the second, I'm a local there and would be happy to coordinate as well as show you around ! |

There used to be a decent little place called Molly Malones just off the beach, good rooms, all very clean, all with the good pub that was downstairs
I’m talking years ago I mind so not sure if it’s still there now |
