Interested to hear what has worked best for folks arranging meets through fab when abroad.
Assume the best way is either through the forum chats or the who is close by function? Are there any other better ways? |

We use the whos near function however it’s been known to brain fart a few times and put people close to us when they’re in fact in the UK! But on the whole it’s really good! Also in the worldwide section of forums can be good if someone posts dates they’ll be somewhere! You can also post there yourselves and others going there at the same time can message you! |

The who's near on your phone is the best way that we've found.
Our very first meet from fab was with a lovely Scottish couple that messaged us after seeing us close by on their phone on the island of Corfu. |

You keep coming up as one of the closest to me, at around 400 miles away I am currently in Phuket though... |

From our experience "who's near" is about as reliable as a two bob watch.
It regularly shows us in Tenerife when the reality is that Mrs has never been and my last visit was 25 years ago. Ditto the Algarve, neither of us has ever been.
The number of messages got so bad that we even altered our profile to stop them. It seems to be working but we still get the odd one or two.
Best one though was when it put us in Jamaica when we were actually in Singapore. |

"Sounds like we shouldn’t get too excited about what who’s near is telling us next week until we check it’s correct!"
Why not change your location now and hit the who's near button. We do this as it will give an indication but not a true reflection as next week it could be totally different.
We had a great social a couple of years ago in Turkey with 2 couples. Nothing else just a drink and really good laugh |
