Anybody else there from the 9th March? Could anybody help with best areas to stay and eat?

Best place to stay is Funchal. I found Hotel do Carmo to be nice and inexpensive.

Machico is another option. Way smaller than Funchal but it has one of the very few golden sand beaches on the island.

Thanks. I’ve booked a hotel in Funchal old town. Looking forward to seeing the sights, food and drink. Don’t suppose there is much of a kink scene here?!

I live In Madeira You cant go wrong with food here good meat or fish good portions and reaonable prices.The local speciality Fish ESPADA served with Banana or passion fruit,Or Meat ESPETADA Chunks of meat on a skewer with the taste of laural leaves.The special Bread bolo de caco with home made garlic butter and Bolo de Mel Honey cake.That should make up for the lack of Swingers here.Enjoy.
