"Can’t believe how many single men go cruising "
We've had single men on cruises that we've been on.
Funnily enough they've been on the cruises with their wifes who don't know hubby is secretly on fab. |

I'm off on a cruise, being single doesn't stop you, it just makes it more difficult due to the single occupancy supplements ( like any holiday). However,a mate of mine who is also single is travelling with me. So there is an explanation.
Other cruises I've been on, there are numerous single women who are friends sharing a cabin, no one seems to give that a second thought. |

"Anyone on Discovery 11 from Majorca to Montego Bay on the 29th Oct"
Yes ! Not sure about the six solid days at sea across the Atlantic, but I'm sure it will be a great experience one way or another ! |

We enjoy the 6 days at sea. It gives us a chance to have late nights without having to rush up early the next morning to go ashore. Plus lots of drinking time to take advantage of the drink package
We sail next month on Nov 21 out of Santos.
Highly unlikely anyone from here will be on it but just in case. |

More than happy with the drinking side of things, just hoping it won't be to rough to be able to walk to the bar !! |

Ahh I get you.
I did a ferry across the Irish sea on New Years Eve a few years back and could barely stand up from the sofas in the bar it was so rough.
These cruise ships are a different kettle of fish unless unlucky enough to hit hurricane conditions.
We have done three repositionings and the most we have had was a bit of a swell. Or I just could have been d*unk by then |

Serious question If you’re on an AI cruise is it worth getting off at the ports of call ? I’m in Bahamas for 3weeks Christmas & New Year although it’s a cruise hot spot surely people get off do a whistle stop your & get back on, I’m just asking because never been on a cruise but seems lots of action on them |

We go to the nearest beach usually have to be back on board by 5. Just got back from the Carribbean seen some lovely beaches and was all inclusive but drinking all-day whilst at sea takes it toll so in port days don't start whilst 6 drink until 2am a few hours kip then off the boat sleep on sun bed on the beach x |

Likewise our first time cruising and we're heading to Canaries and back over the festive season.
We're booked on officially linked excursions when stopping at ports without a lot to see (eg Madeira)... But will go free-time at ports like Tenerife where (on Google Maps) there are plenty of activities (shops, eateries, museums) close to where the ship docks. Mix and match for variety! |

"Suzie69. Which ship are you on. Reply privately if you want any advice on where to go. For example Madeira you’re in the centre and have access to the cable car and the toboggan rides. "
Hey thanks for your message. Yeah, I think the cable car and toboggan ride are part of the official tours as well. We've opted for the 4x4 tour as the rugged landscape looks beautiful!
We're on the new cruise company Ambassador, sailing on the Ambience. |

Do you mean onboard organised activities or sex ?"
Must be the onboard activities as we have been on around 10 vanilla cruises in the past 8 years and just got some fun on one of them by pure chance. |

Very similar to me. I have had fun on two cruises out of about 10. |

Even then it took the guy to ask to use our bathroom and come out stark naked before anything happened lol |

It is making that initial move that is most difficult in case it backfires!
We will be on a new cruise company Ambassador promoting "no fly" UK port based cruises. They also promoting solo travellers with organised trips set aside for singletons. That's a good "product" and I hope more singletons will enjoy themselves over the festive season!
So if anyone else on The Ambiance going from Tilbury to Canaries from 21 Dec, then come say hello.
I note nearly the whole ship "Wait List" only now, so I think it'll be busy! |

Another question I’m in The Bahamas at the moment it’s a bit cloudy but still lovely & sunny, but Florida is being hit by storms & high winds what happens on a cruise ship if the seas are very rough??? |

You get roughed up. Hope your cabin is mid ship? Your captain will stay in middle of sea as it's safer than being near shore. Hope you got some sea sickness tablets...? |
