Going on a cruise isn’t a staycation it’s a holiday. Staying at home in your house is a staycation.
Sorry for the rant this whole staycation nonsense form government and media is an insult to the uk tourist industry.
If you live in Manchester and go to Devon for a week that’s never been a staycation that’s a holiday |

Now that makes sense to me.
A weekend break means going somewhere not stayin at home.
Holiday = away from my house
( which is so not happening this year.) |

We think it’s just a play on words, when you are used to cruising around the Caribbean but at the moment you can get a cruise that is staying in brush waters then to us it is a staycation, |

Yes, I James have my staycation cruise booked, a nice 4 day cruise around the Jurassic coast.
Rules: must have both jabs, must wear a mask in public areas and must have FULL insurance,
50% occupancy, no inside rooms only balcony rooms.
It's a start!

"Why do you need FULL insurance cover when it is UK and you would be entitled to NHS treatment ?"
Probably because if you were sick or injured offshore they would possibly need to have you helivaced (taken ashore by helicopter) and that is expensive. They are doing this on a shoestring and dont want any unexpected costs so your insurance would have to cover it. |

MSC Virtuoso has been refused permission to dock in Scotland today despite all on board being double vaccinated and testing negative. Passengers hoping to embark the cruise at Greenock have been refused permission. |

We just booked a 3 day ALL INCLUSIVE TUI cruise on 28th June......for under £280pp. ( Only going to Dover and Portland but hey-ho lol )
We have that week off as holiday and with Boris stopping us travelling abroad....the alternative was for us to have a few meals out and about and maybe a night or two in a hotel, but this will not only work out cheaper but will be something a little different on a full-on cruise ship...we think that was result!
.... it will be a little taster until we hopefully get on our main cruise from Miami later in the year

It's interesting that if you are except from getting vaccinated, you can't cruise with P and O.
I understand the reasons, I'm just surprised it's legal to not allow those unable to be vaccinated to book. |

"What percentage of people are unable to be vaccinated ?"
I have no idea, but P and O are not allowing unvaccinated children or babies.
Fully vaccinated are welcome regardless of age, even an unvaccinated baby would not be allowed on board. |

Most cruise operators are now stating double vaccination at least 14 days prior to boarding, as well as a host of other mandates. It's not worth their reputation to do otherwise

What is the adult entertainment ?
This is listed -
Never Sleep Alone
PRODUCED BY Roslyn Hart & Alfredo Guenzani. Resident sexologist, Dr. A, dispenses her unique brand of fearless and playful advice in this interactive, late-night cabaret that puts you at the helm of your sexual destiny. It’s not for the faint of heart.

Highly recommend Virgin Scarlet Lady we have just done a 4 day sea daze staycation from Portsmouth.
If you go take something with a pineapple on indicating you are a swinger LOL
They have what they say are private karaoke booths but have to say they are sound proof and the area very much resembles a swingers club
Over 18s only well worth the trip |

We bought some little enamel pineapple badges to wear on our cruise. Sadly they didn't work... just got a couple of innocent questions in the lift.. "Why the pineapple badge ?". We had to do some thinking on our feet before answering ! lol |
