a club near you

What is your best experience of clubs outside the UK?

Where outside of the UK would you recommend a lifestyle break after Covid has done one?

Costa Blanca Spain...

We can only comment for the pre Covid world. At the moment with closures and restrictions it is very difficult to say, and how it will come out the other side is anyone's guess.

Pre Covid for high quality clubs it would be a close call between Holland and Germany.

Germany would edge it for sheer numbers (swinger clubs in Holland are fewer than most think) and that most of the better clubs in Holland are couples only.

German clubs are generally more expensive than in the UK but you do get a lot more for your money. Most (nearly all) include free bar and buffet.

On the downside there are very few in large city centres. Most are either well out in the suburbs or out in the countryside. So some kind of transport is a must. Also a bit of the language would be a big help.

We've only been to French clubs in Cap d'Agde which, although fun, are very poor compared to Germany & Holland.

There are some decent Spanish clubs but (Gran Canaria aside) they tend to be more around the bigger cities rather than in holiday resorts. Most cater for the local market so, again, a bit of the language is a big help.

For fun and sun you could do a lot wore than the Alicante area. There are 5 clubs in and around the city and another (the only English owned club in Spain) is just down the road at Guardamar.

London St Helier Trier

Knowing some local language will help a lot.

As the crisis looks to go on for at least another 12 months (based on WHO saying vaccine at its earliest mid 2021) then it will be very difficult for existing owners of clubs (let one pubs, cafes and restaurants) surviving that long.

Stay safe all.
