"Going for the COVID test this morning x"
Hope you get your results in time and you're clear. I've been frustrated with the complications of getting the test and result in the right timeframe for Cyprus. And dreading Cyprus pulling us from the selected countries, id it continues to get worse here. |

Looking to head over to Paphos mid-Oct as looks likely to be warm and relatively cheap.
Has anyone had experience of getting the tests either privately or NHS? Googled it but not very clear.
Any pointers much appreciated!

You can’t use NHS tests for travel now, private tests cost around £150 per person |

"Apparently there is a box you can tick on the former Vienna Convention and that allows test on arrival. Not 100%sure though."
No that’s only for people like diplomats.
Tourists cannot test on arrival |

"Says people residing in category Betty countries and unable to get tested."
People in UK can get tested but they have to pay. The only country in Cat B that can test on arrival is Italy as testing isn’t generally available there.
I think it will al change soon as UK will go back to Cat C if if carries on as it is |

I have my test results back; negative thankfully; but had to go private - didn’t want to waste NHS resource just to travel!
If you are travelling from the UK you won’t be allowed on the plane without being tested and completing a “Cyprus Flight Pass.” Test has to be within 72 hours of travel and you compete the flight pass within 24 hours of flight.
Happily - I’ll be in Paphos and Pissouri on Wednesday x
Anyone about? Xxx |
