Imo society makes being sexy a lot easier for you gals. Dudes are expected to hit the gym and have toned x y z to look good. You girls just gotta flaunt ya natural curves haha.

"You're wrong.
You've assumed that all women find a gym fit male body sexy and no men find gym fit female body sexy"
I'd be interested to see how those two groups compare proportionally. |

I have no idea but my observations tell me that men and women find a variety of body shapes attractive. |

Not all women have the supposedly "sexy curves" and is almost impossible to achieve those ideals without help of plastic surgery. But no, most of my friends don't care about body shapes. They just rather have someone who takes care of them and they get on with. |

Interesting how that contrasts with the image of an attractive dude/woman in society as a whole. |

Do you mean the images in the media? Because a glance at the pictures on the profiles on fab will show a different story. M
Sexy is about so much more than body type |

Interesting. From my perspective the world seems to be shifting towards showing a much wider variety of women's bodies in modelling etc. The spectrum of 'beautiful' is widening from ya typical skinny model type from years ago. I don't know if the same thing is happening with dudes tho. |

Your basing your expectations of people based on marketing trends, Instagram is a sales machine.. in the real world no one expects anyone to look like that and in my experience woman are usually less hung up on looks then men! |

You're right. I'd go so far as to say women are a lot less hung up on men's looks than men think they are. In fact they're waaay more interested in how other women look |

I'm basing my opinion on what I read on the fora. I know it's not exactly scientific lol.
I see lots of threads from men complaining that women only want gym fit guys with a six pack and huge cock. I see lots of threads from women who feel they aren't good enough to meet good looking guys because they've compared themselves unfavourably to the guys previous meets. None of it makes sense to me because I don't think that way but those are my observations |

I'll highlight that this wasn't intended to be one of those moaning threads. Just interested to see if I could spark some discussion. Ironically I think guys and girls just need to communicate a bit more on this particular topic and I imagine most would be pleasantly surprise. |

I think better communication on this and just about any topic would be good .
The problem is that issues of attractiveness and sexiness are tied up in self esteem and there is an awful lack of it nowadays |

Agreed very muchly. Speaking from personal experience I'll have some days where I like how I look and others not so much and that does tend to vary with self esteem and mood. Easy to get into a spiral with these things. Luckily the good days out weigh the bad ones for me but I know a lot of people struggle a lot more. |

Men are predominantly visual creatures and women being predominantly mental types.
Fact being that gay men are having issues with physical looks, expectations extremely high and it's forcing people into unhealthy diets and extreme amounts of exercise and failing to fit a body type is causing mental health issues.
Having less than ideal expectations of body images is causing issues with mental health and physical health. Plenty of literature to read on it.
Stop worrying about how you or anyone else looks because in time it will change what's important is who you are as a person. As long as you are happy and comfortable with how you look no one else's opinions matter.
Accepting people for who they are and not what they look like the world will be a better place. |

There was an interesting programme on Radio 4 last week. A blind woman was trying to find out about beauty. She just couldn't understand the concept of people being valued more highly because of how they looked |
