charging for parties seems to be the norm no, is it just me that thinks that its wrong, all i would expect is that people bring a bottle, but no fee, we have had this a few times now |

Depends if they've rented the house for the time I suppose. I don't know that many people with large enough houses to accommodate more than a couple of people and where you can make a fair amount of noise without disturbing neighbours.
