I'll take you for coffee

It's one of the worst excuses for the lack of a decent profile.
Seriously do these guys think women/couples have time (or inclination) to meet every guy with a crap profile who invites them for a coffee promising we "won't be disappointed"?!
Ahhh...and breathe |

As long as they don't say "you won't be disappointed" we might take them up for an offer. Some people just can't express themselves or not good at communicating online but are brilliant face to face.

Ive offered to meet for a coffee before (admittedly, nobody has accepted as yet) but sometimes when I read a profile I can get a sense for somebody who would be equally unresponsive to a “When can we meet up for sex” approach.
Tbh my success rate is very low on both approaches, so what would I know |

most fundamental aspects |
I’m always up for disappointing people over coffee.
But seriously, I would never say something like “you won’t be disappointed” I mean that opens up all sorts of variables. I have had some very good coffee meets where the coffee itself is disappointing.
I remember meeting up with a g/f I hadn’t seen since school. We went to a wee coffee shop locally and, when asked what I wanted, I asked for a latte. The response was “you want a milky coffee then?” Ok, so I know a latte does technically have a large percentage of milk but what I got was just a coffee drowned in milk. So that was disappointing! |

"We frequently meet men for coffee, it's a nice social occasion and can lead to more on later meets"
Again Hastings is a bit far, in the opposite direction......!!
Need someone near Manchester or Liverpool...!! |

"I offer Coffee, tea, drink or meal depending how the chat is going or if it is a repeat date etc.
Never in the opening message if that is what you mean."
That's absolutely what I mean, the issue isn't meeting someone socially who interesting and I've had dialogue with, it's the expectation from some guys who've made little effort that the offer of a coffee will somehow sway in their favour!
Why would any woman spend half a day getting prepared and meeting a total stranger socially who doesn't tick the basic boxes when there are so many lovely men here who do?! |
