I have no interest in punishing people unless in the context of a D/S relationship where punishment has been discussed and agreed for breaches of the relationship's rules. In which case 50 lines or a time with their nose against the wall is probably more painful.
A punishment caning or spanking should only be given where it has been agreed beforehand as a punishment within the relationship negotiation and merited by the circumstances but those are not fun and need a lot of aftercare,tlc and lotion!
Funishment is a thing for some people, although not for me.
Give me someone who just enjoys various forms of impact or sensation without having to dress it up. For me it is not about role play but building the scene and the tension within the scene...is the thing.

However, if you do want to read something Jay Wisemen's SM101 A Realistic Introduction has a section on punishment. In short pleasurable acts should not be used for punishment and kept for fun. If the sub loves caning or spanking there is no point doing that to punish them. Making them do something trivial, menial or a withdrawal or treats concentrates the mind better. But it is individual to each sub. |

Subby, that’s me - I get cane strikes as part of our ritual. I don’t like them when Sir strikes but I love the after glow and the effect it has on me. I’ve used whips, paddles, canes, straps, floggers etc... it’s a tricky subject as the harsher they get the more dangerous to receiver but also the person administering in some cases.
As with all tools, knowledge is a very useful, personally I think clubs should stop at floggers and paddles, anything more can invite trouble x |
