First off do not write any more data to the disk. When something is deleted the OS writes a marker to the block which makes that space available again so as long as you don't copy anything to the disk after you've deleted something, it will be recoverable.
Recovery is also easier on windows so if the disk was formatted with fat32 or NTFS there are more tools available to do the job. SD's from an android phone may be a but more challenging to recover as the tool will have to support ext2fs etc.
Let us know where it was used and I'll have a search for a tool that won't require parting with any cash |

Have you checked recycle bin ?
As said don’t write data, it’s all still there the locations are just now marked as not use ready for new stuff. Use any recovery software , expect to pay unless you can do it yourself with some code you download , it’s fairly straightforward but you need to be fairly techy |

Yes, I do.
It's called Disk Digger and it's free.
How good is it?
Well...about 2009 my pc hard drive failed, without any back up and all my photos about 3000 of them were at risk of being lost for ever.
Windows could't see the HD.
DOS couldn't see the HD.
BIOS couldn't see the HD.
So I did some research online and eventually found this lifesaver of a program (in the days before we called these things apps!).
PC repair shops quoted me stupid money; so I declined.
Anyway, I detached the HD then I popped it into the usb caddy and plugged into a separate wintel pc and left the software to do its magic and perform a deep search.
Disk Digger could see the HD! It could also see those files too, not just photos, but docs, music, everything I wanted saving was there.
It took 3 days to find the files, then 4 days to write and rescue them to the other hard drive.
Success was about 96%.
Phew, never again!
God, I love that program. Give it a go, right now. You know what you've got to lose...then buy a backup HD; if cloud storage options aren not to your liking.
Good luck.

Free on a LINUX machine! $15 on a Windows, as for Mac, don't hold your breath.
You can run LINUX Mint/UBUNTU (FREE from Distrowatch) on a separate partition on a PC or MAC if you want.
Hope that helps |

Its a Mac...you need Mac recovery software. It's also Mojave so any app you use has to be compatible with Mojave or it just won't install.
See your PM mate as I sent you download links to my Dropbox to download and install recovery software suitable for your version of IOS |
