I'm going to the Night of the Senses Ball (formerly the Sex Maniacs Ball) with a lovely gentleman from here and wondered if anyone else, had been before and could tell me what to expect or were going this year.

Tut tut tut, the trouble with expectations my beautiful friend is that too much of it can be lost in the finer detail, just take the evening in your stride and enjoy the excitement. The location somewhere in West London is a well guarded secret due to the disruption and fiasco caused by the Bishop of Southwark last year. This being the 25th anniversary, the organisers don't want a repeat of that and are therefore not publicising the location till nearer the evening, all you have to do is look for some wacky zebra somewhere abouts the Shepherds Bush Acton area, get a tight grip of his tail and hang on for a ride of your life!!!

Went to this last year and it was one of the best party / sexy / kinky / erotic nights out I have ever been to since being on the scene!
Wish I could go this year but it clashes with to much for us 
Would recommend to anyone ( with a broad mind - this could stretch some of the softer swingers  )

I went to the SexManiacs Ball years and years agon, I have no real idea of how long ago.
It was held in a large victorian warehouse to the rear of Kings Cross.
It was a wonderful evening, with shows of various kinds, demonstrations, stalls and of course lots and lots of people.
I had no idea what to expect on the evening, but was certainly not disapointed.
I just wish I was less of a socially innept wall-hugger at the time.
Nothing changes!
I would recommend as has been previously stated, keep your expectations in your bag, the evening will present itself to you however it wishes. Enjoy yourselves.

I agree! Certainly one of the must be at events of the year, and this year is going to be exceptionally special, Look us up if you're going to be there again this year guys, we'll be the zebra and the circus master complete with top hat thigh high boots and whip! oo o can't wait! TT x |

Hoorah and thank you for the replies, I am getting very excited and looking forward to the evening immensely.
TT - how did he cause a disruption? Did people take "bashing the bishop" too literally or was he just miffed because there were people more flamboyantly dressed than him? 
Right, must go as I need to practice with my bull whip, I fear a certain zebra is going to need to be kept in line!

Hmmm its the same old prudish disapproval. Originally last years venue was being held at a new club under the railway arches in Southwark, a mere stone throw from the Bishops pile of rubble on the banks of the Thames there by Borough Market. That was till the dog collar wearing Bishop found out what was going down and just what fun everyone was going to have, he then took it upon himself to have the venue's licence withdrawn for the night, and subsequently they weren't in a position to host the event any longer and it all had to be moved at the eleventh hour to Electroworks in Islington...  |
