Not coming from the Forces what’s so ever. Is it normal to admit to being in Special Forces?
Whilst I’m sure it’s something to be extremely proud of it’s not great for personal security? |

My mate was teaching some SAS troopers to dive back in the 80s, it was winter time and they had no gloves, seriously cold. One of them complained his hands were cold and my mate had a go at him for being soft. The trooper looked at him and said something along the lines of "my hands are just cold but if there's a kill in the air, I'll be there!" My mate shut up and gave them some gloves |

TA for 15 years. Used to share a barracks with a Reservist SAS Sqn but rarely saw them as they trained on different days.
We occasionally saw their recruits if we both returned from a weekend away on the same Sunday afternoon. Poor fuckers could barely walk and always looked as if they'd been in a ring with Mike Tyson.
Always amazed us that just like us, they were TA as well and had to go back to work on Monday morning broken! |

Once got chatting a bloke who said he was ex special forces. Pissed my self laughing when his mate came back from the bar and I asked him if he was in the same unit. He said yes they’d both served in The Army Catering Corps. Together! |

You shouldn’t mock the Army Catering Corps, it’s the hardest course in the Army ...... no-one has EVER passed it!!! "
Most dangerous job in the Navy, there were more chefs killed in the Falklands than any other branch. True |

"So many ex special forces ??
Would love to know the years and sections all the special forces was in
SAS would say their parent unit, SBS would say Royal Marines. So they must be RAF Regiment who think they are special forces lmao
RAF reg lol .... met so many rocks over the years they will sit and tell you how they are the elite and the bees knees then promptly leave after they ask you what you do and tell them..
Bless them just one step up from blanket stackers"
I'm not ex forces but weirdly was watching a Phil campion (ex sas ) clip on you tube and he stated that the raf regiment is well represented in the sas and are good lads ..... bit of jealousy going on here I think boys lol x |
