Does any one else find that when people use the term BBW they don't always consider if they qualify for the second B?
I love BBW girls, but not all big girls are good looking, in the same way not all skinny girls are good looking.
I know I may pay for this post but I thought it a worthy talking point. |

lol.....so u think some bbw should just be bw????? maybe the b for beautiful has to be seen as in a beautiful person and not as beautiful looking,,,,, plus there are lots of ppl on here who class themselves as good looking, and they may appear this way to some ppl and not to others......so while the b for beautiful in some profiles may not be to your liking, they may to others.....off you get wat I mean......lol |

Think you may be setting yourself up for a barrage of abuse with this one !
One persons idea of beautiful is not necessarily another's so your suggestion that some bbw are not worthy of the middle b is just your opinion !
In general terms the majority may find extremely large women far from beautiful - but what about those who love it ?
Reckon channel 4 have done documentaries on this subject |

Point 1
If someone wishes to refer to themselves as a BBW, that this entirely their prerogative and no doubt it is because they wish to describe themselves as such
Point 2
The second "B" - which you allude to refer to 'Beautiful' is something which, to coin a popular phrase "Is in the eye of the beholder". If someone seeks to describe themselves as such then that is their right to do so.
Point 3
Simply because you do not rate, in your opinion, someone as deserving of the adjective 'Beautiful' it does not mean that your opinion is the de-facto standard across the board.
Point 4
Remember that just because you consider yourself good looking, someone else may consider you have a face like a smacked arse - likewise someone entirely different may consider you the drop-dead gorgeous hunk of man-meat they have been waiting for all their lives!
Point 5
If we all liked the same thing, the world would be a dull and pointless place. Diversity equals fun!

'Beautiful' doesn't just mean a physical attractiveness - a person can be beautiful on the inside too - their personality, compassion, kindness can all be beautiful to another.
Besides, my definition of BBW is 'Big Buxom Wench' |

im a big girl, who doesnt think im that preety but yes i do decribe myself as bbw, i have a great personalety (cant spell as well) i love to make others laugh and if ive gone to a party have never been left sitting in the room watching others having fun as ive always been asked to have fun and if im honest had lots of naughty fun , by decribing myself as bbw your giving the other people a chance to not waste there time if they like the thinner people of the planet, its a choice that everyone can make but believe me being big doesnt mean you lay there like a wobbly jelly and your ugly alot of the time you have fab fun, excellent orgasms and a phone full of numbers with people wanting to stay in touch, so good luck to all people who read futher than the bbw tag, chelle xxx |

" Surely pints 2-4 are the same point just worded differently. But in the whole I agree with your view
I would add false advertising is rife on fab; many single guys are not in fact single, many "athletic" types are far from that and I've met a number of folk who we're several years older than their stated profile age. |

Looks for a post from bouncy...fails to find it but does find an excellent post from the professor.
Just to add BBW developed as a term for those who found big beautiful... remember beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder.

Just because you dont find some BBW beautiful doesnt mean everyone else doesnt , we all have our own tastes and like different things about different people, some of them might not find you attractive but their not making a thread about it ...it works both ways so i just find it a bit of an obvious and pointless thread as previously said on here. |

Ok serious answer now after a couple of jokey ones.
When I had a descriptive profile I put on it that I was a BBW. Not because I think I am beautiful but because it is an easily recognisable term that indicates I am a lady of larger proportions.
it does make me laugh that this term is discected time and time again yet there arent many threads asking how big does a BBC need to be |

It amuses me that the BBW term is always questioned, usually in an underhand way to put bigger ladies down.
Beautiful is subjective. Not many believe they are totally ugly. Just accept that people will refer to themselves how they want, and its not down to others for approval of any terms in which people want to refer to themselves as.
Many men say they are good looking, I may not agree with them, but if they put that on their profile then that's fine. The VWE tag too, a guy may described himself as very well endowed when in fact he is small/average and the VWE tag may only be in comparison to a mouse.
People will describe themselves as they like, tough if you don't agree with their assessment. You either choose to meet them after seeing pics or not |

There is also a considerable scene for it in gay circles.
There are 3/4 sites that cater specifically for bigger guys and the guys that like them.
I've never seen myself as a fetish, no more than my liking for athletic men is a fetish - I just know what I like - and chubby chasers like chubby people. |

I guess that depends on how much you read into it. I see it as a way of identifying a persons preferences quickly, not as a fetis. Just because they like big women doesn't mean they like all big women. |

The thing is for some it is a fetish, and they are the ones who invented the term. Fair enough like many things it has spread into wider useuage but it is the fact the original idea has been diluted that causes these threads to come up again and again. |

god we are so with yo on this, we mentioned it on another thread,
BBW = big beautiful women
When infact some of them are not beautiful at all)
We understand that beauty is within and in the eye of the beholder and all that bollax but our point was you never hear petite women saying im a pbw.
We figure, rightly or wrongly that bigger women who class themselves as BBW use the term BBW because it is now accepted to be the norm for big women.
PS we like big women so please do not shoot me down in flames |

the fact that most shops that stock larger sizes keep them in the back of the shop, and that on a daily basis people are bullied for being fat must mean it is not the norm
Slim, skinny, slender women can use whatever words they choose to describe themselves - they just choose not to.
after reading a TRILLION of these threads i find that the majority of women that use the term BBW do so because its just an easy term for people to pidgeon hole them (big pidgeon huh ) |

While I do agree that not everyone is the second B but that being said do we not have that right to think we are beautiful even if others don't. I myself would never consider myself as sexy or beautiful. But for most its a confidence issue. |

I see peoples points on the "they may not be beautiful to you but to others" and " everyone is beautiful to somebody" and such but why does that mean its ok for BBWs to call themselfs beautiful when some aint and skinny girls if they all labeled themselfs as beautiful they would get abuse or shit thrown their way for being egotistical or vain?
And while we are at it no not everyone is beautiful and if an ugly skinny girl calls herself it she gets torn but if an ugly fat girl does its fine.
Big women shouldnt all call themselfs big beautiful women because not all of them are. By that logic we should all be big beautiful women, skinny beautiful woman, short beautiful women, tall beautiful women, and that would mean the word beautiful would have no point or meaning
Some big women are beautiful
Some are not |

The term BBW is in my profile and tbh I've never dissected it any way really. I certainly don't consider myself partic beautiful but it does enable guys to immmediately know that I am a bigger lady and not to waste their or my time by writing if that's not their thing. My size and height is on there too.
Thankfully the size of my boobs and arse seem to be a positive for lots of guys!
Might take the term off my profile tho if it gives the impression I think I'm 'all that'!! haha |

Wow!! After a million of these threads people still take the term literally?!!
I really struggle to understand why people feel the need to question how others choose to describe themselves. Blimey the amount of "very attractive, athletic, VVVWE bulls" on here poking fun at other people using a "ready reckoner" label is amusing. |

lets just say,
if you find 'big' beautiful, and what you define big is different to the next person then that is your choice.
i am a big fan of larger ladies, but what i may consider as large others may have a different point of view.
Anyway, think this site needs a 'body type' search filter. fed-up of having to search endless profiles for curvy, large, fabulous fems and feel this would be a welcomed addition to search parameters.
Any how thats just my view on the matter, it will be a forever debated subject.
cheers all

thing is for that to work peoples idea of large has to be the same as yours, plus they have to be honest, ive seen many profiles where woman have put average and in my eyes they are large, have athletic when they clearly havnt seen a gym in years, curvy can be any size from a 8 to a 28 on here, as yourself has pointed out not everyone sees big as the same and some people do just out right lie about their size |

and men are as bad as women
i have a couple of mates who swear that they are at least a jeans size smaller than they are (if not two)
i point out that jeans have a waist size because they are (in general) meant to be worn from the waist, not under wherever it is your belly finishes !
i could be a 34 waist too if i chose to live a life of denial |

i agree body type is totally subjective, i am (in my mind) curvy and large, im a size 14 ish...12 in nice shops and anything from 16 upwards on the top...whats my body type?

coyldn't be arsed to read it all so sorry if someone beat me to it
the term BBW was coined in america to put a positive spin on the larger frame to promote positive thinking in women of a particular size but it was never meant to mean that the women thought themselves beautiful it was meant that there are actually some guys out there that find the bigger size beautiful
so let me clarify its not that the woman herself is beautiful facialy its the guys that find her wobbliness itself beautiful thats all

I call myself BBW. And I often thought to myself, how can I call myself beautiful so openly as it's in the eyes of the beholder if they think I am.
However, I really use the term to describe my size as it's commonly used for women who have more than a few extra pounds.
I don't think the OP's question is offensive though, he has a good point. |

The honest truth is there's nothing beautiful about being fat... It's harsh but it's true. Having said that some of the sexiest women I've been with have been big but whatever, anyone can describe themselves how they want. |

"The honest truth is there's nothing beautiful about being fat... "
In your opinion
I could introduce you to many people who would argue differently
I know several who would not touch a thin / lithe / athletic / toned body despite having one themselves |

ah yes education is the true liberator of minds sad so few recognise that fact
we can learn so much from each other we all have something to teach but not many wish to teach and even less wish to learn |

"does it really matter???? the sexiest thing any woman posses is her mind, same for anyone realy, if you feel sexy and enjoy giving pleasure to others you are sexy WORD!"
i've always said sexy is a state of mind not a body shape or size, its all well and good possesing a taute toned bod but if you don't feel sexy and confident you won't appear sexy same goes for a wobbly bod it only appears sexy if its attached to a confident sexy feeling peep |

"Does any one else find that when people use the term BBW they don't always consider if they qualify for the second B?
I love BBW girls, but not all big girls are good looking, in the same way not all skinny girls are good looking.
I know I may pay for this post but I thought it a worthy talking point."
Thats rich coming from someone who resembles the elephant man in his foto

I agree, I've ben with a gorgeous big lady who was a size 30, and not what you would describe as good looking or pretty, but she was one of the sexiest ladies I've ever known. It's funny though, on my bi side I'm not a big fan of the chubbier guy (even though I'm no racing snake myself!!) I think sexiness/personal attractiveness is a bit like religion, it doesn't bear close scrutiny, don't analize what turns you on too closely!!! |

"Couldn't we change to using pfcc (perfect for chubby chasers)
Runs and hides
Some people can be so rude
Chubby chaser is a well known term for men who fancy big women, just like bbw is a well known term for said big women
Still rude!
In your eyes it would seem so, not in mine "
Yes in mine, as you are, I am also entitled to my opinion |

my ex was one of them and anyone who knew me as a couple will back that up. ive always been big and i suppose people assumed we played with big women because i myself was big and thats all we could pull, however just before we split i lost loads of weight and went to a size 10, he didnt like my body but told me he prefered be slimmer because i was happier and more confidant, in a ideal world id have had the confidance i had at a size 10 at a size 22/24 but life dont work like that, however we carried on swinging and never did he ever play with a woman under a size 20, some guy even made a comment to him once about not having to play with 'fat birds' anymore because i had lost weight, because some people truely do think men use bigger ladies as a make do and there are lots out there that dont |
