Tracey Cox on this morning thought it was very interesting. Talking about sex over 50. How our bodies change and after the menopause. Thought it was a good forum subject x |

I find I'm more energetic in the bedroom now than I have been for years so I would say yes it is better as you get older. However I have lost 3.5 stone in weight in last 6 months so that could be helping lol. Sean |

I think it’s not just age but it’s also technology. Is the internet has opened up the world to much more normality oh what was historically a taboo subject. More and more people are able to explore what they never could before.

I would say it changes. Some of it for the better.
Technique and confidence and knowing how to turn your partner on.
But I cannot bang away for hours like an 18yo anymore but I think I’ve become better with experience |

I'm not sure better is the right word.
I had good sex in my younger days, I experimented more and enjoyed the encounters I had.
Now I'm more confident in myself and comfortable with what I like and don't. I still get the same satisfaction it's just different. |

I preferred my sex life in my 40s tbh. Since the menopause arrived it's become different. The monthly cycle of horniness and not quite so has disappeared and Mrs N's struggles to get aroused and we go for days without doing it.
I suspect it might be me but not sure what to do about it. Answers on a postcard to....... Only joking, we'll figure it out somehow. |

We think it does, quality increases, quantity decreases.
We are far more comfortable with ourselves and if it happens brilliant, but won't lose sleep if it doesn't. Menopause does cause problems, but we're there's a will there's away. Read up on the subject, diet and lube really help |

It has for me, but think that’s more to do with ending a long and unsatisfactory marriage, and allowing myself to express my sexuality more. The last couple of year, definitely, but think it’s more the experiences I’ve had and the people it’s been with, rather than my age xx |

The age/experience correlation is an interesting one.
Younger me would fuck for England, whereas now the preference is more “sensual” and just as enjoyable, if not more so.
Also, a lot of men feel more comfortable with their bi side as they move through the years

Speaking from a guys perspective it’s a firm YES.
During my late teens until my late twenties sex was wholly disappointing. As if I was doing it wrong, often it left me feeling a bit empty and unhappy. I was constantly worried about if I’d performed sufficiently, if she had cum/enjoyed it etc...
Getting older is a bastard in almost every aspect, however it’s benefitted me hugely in terms of self confidence. I’ve grown far more happy and content in myself and having the sort of sex I could only dream about 10 years ago.

Yes it does. Well, certainly in my case and given the usual ups and downs. (no pun intended)
The normal peaks and troughs of life.
I’m having some of the best sex of my life at 61. This is great as I live at number 58!
