Because if they charged the same for single blokes there would be far too many idiots in them.
The higher price is to put off the ones that think it's somewhere to get an 'easy shag'.

That’s not a proper comparison. If it was a question of just a having a quota of single males then they would all be queuing outside before the club opened. Then once the couples and singles arrived they’d find a bunch of blokes awaiting their arrival, and probably turn straight round. Just accept it for what it is. |

its a very grey area from a lawful point of view as it touches area's of equality laws .... all it take is for one man with heavy pockets to challenge it then it could be a whole new scenario.
equality laws cover public and private venues
the only way it wont cover is private membership but even that can be a greay area |

It's not sexist because sexism implies prejudice and they're just discriminating in an attempt to improve the ratio.
IMO it's counterproductive, mind - when a guy has paid £60 to get in they're looking to "get their money's worth" much more often, whereas where places are cheaper you get more single male regulars and they're not so fussed about taking their time.
(Also: some women I've spoken to have felt put off by the implication of the "discount", especially when it's basically free) |

Most swinging clubs have minimal staff, they’d need to employ door men to police the hordes of single guys if the entry price was the same as women.
Also, some single guys have no clue how to interact, they just follow couples around all night , cock in hand, we’ve never witnessed a single woman following couples around, rubbing their clits.
So basically, single guys get charged more to keep the numbers down. |

Down south my favourite place to go with a parner looking for single guys is Remix in Swindon because the guys are just less.. desperate, and more open/chatty. By contrast, at AbFabs there was much more of a snail-trail vibe.

Chams Newport is next to a pub. Imagine at 11.30 when the guys leave the pub, looking for action. If they can get in for a tenner the club will be packed with half pissed guys looking for a quick fuck. A few months of that and the couples and women will stop going. |

And what do you think the outcome would be if one man challenged it in court? It happened with car insurance for women, the result we all pay more. Do you think that if women paid more then more women would go? I imagine the reverse would happen. Then less men would go, club closes. But hey we have inequality.

That’s because you aren’t going to nights when guys aren’t allowed in and those nights are so much busier. VA allow guys on a Friday. But saturdays they aren’t allowed in. Saturdays are so much busier and most people say they avoid Fridays to get away from the men. This isn’t everyone but it’s definitely more than half. |

Agreed. I have to say from my experience I have met a lot of decent respectable men in clubs, generally a higher number of these than the letchy wanking zombies. Maybe the higher entry fee has something to do with that, if they get no action they will see it as a waste of money as they just go looking for a quick lay. Even tho the pricing is somewhat unfair & definitely in favour of the ladies it has its benefits. |

I've seen a few who won't take no for an answer & pester women however they are usually promptly dealt with & they have been a very small minority, I could count them on 1 hand |

I noted with interest, a thread started for New Year’s Eve party, and the guest list had no single guys on it. There were several single females posting on the thread, crying out for single guys to get their names down, and they couldn’t believe they were struggling for attendees. Single guys were being charged £35 entry, single females were free. Here’s a thought; what if those single females, looking for single guys, had left £17.50 at reception, and the guys who got there early, could have had half their entry covered. Possibly would have encouraged more single guys for the event overall. Just a thought.... |

That’s harsh. I have met many fantastic single men both on here and at clubs.
I have come across a few very disrespectful men in clubs who probably deserve the ‘drivelling shit’ title. But in my experience most single men do not come close to deserving that label.

Bloody hell there's some real bitchy comments towards single men here.
What the couples are forgetting is that the scene doesn't revolve around them. They have a dedicated night for them so just stick to those nights and allow the rest of us to enjoy the single men. |

There are a percentage of shitty single guys on here but most are, at the very least, decent blokes just trying to get along here. There are also plenty of shitty couples and single women here. That’s what you get when you have a cross section of society - a mix.
There are definitely some arrogant shits on here though. |
