i see fabs on my profile as thank you's...the only pics i fab are particually interesting or artistic ones that catch my eye, or new ones friends put up i like.

I tend to just fab pictures of people I see in threads. I will click on avatars and if I see something shexy it gets a fab.

I wouldn't use it as a meet request system.

As we have blocked messages From men now due to rude messages etc.the only way we know who has been looking is by the fabs.we do go through and note the ones nik likes the look of.
