It is strange that sometimes we feel bad for calling in sick, when we are sick.
But if you have something on, a lot of people call in sick without any issue |

Last company I got proper moaned at for calling in sick. Messages most of each day asking if I was coming back in etc.
Phoned in sick at new place, boss said yeah there’s a bug going round probably best to not pass it on. Just phone when you feel better. |

Yeah I have really supportive management and I get full pay when of sick. They I know work hard and don't kick the arse out it but still I feel bad for doing it. |

Being self employed, I always try and go in if I can, to avoid loss of wages.
However, balance this with not wanting to pass on any germs to my colleagues.
Thankfully, I can work from home in my current role, which is exactly what I'm doing today - being reasonably productive, earning, and not subjecting the entire office to my hacking cough. Wins all round..... |

Employers who don’t care if you’re ill, shouldn’t make you feel guilty within yourself. In my experience there are no jobs which will cause a downfall of a company if one employee takes the day off.
As others have said most employers won’t give you a pat on the back on for sacrificing yourself.
Got to take care of yourself because no one else will!
For me I know it’s better for everyone if I take 3 days off, get better and go back to work. Rather than dragging myself in and staying ill for a few weeks. |
