Strange one I know but I find myself in a position of having nothing to stop me.

I would love the opportunity to go anywhere and start fresh or a few eeks/months away.

Just seeing what response or help there is and I'm very open minded so don't hesitate to message me.

Are you a wide open spaces person or a city person?

I would say, change daily habits.

Where you shop, eat out, and most of all change the way you go home and go to work etc what that will do is make your thoughts and mind wonder to do different things and not get sucked in to the similarity what you have got used to.

Leave late for work once a month to keep you on your toes, give you that excitement a bit, buy someone flowers who you dont know and just make someone else's day, it will help you uplift your spirits.

It's a bit deeper and more complicated than that but I do understand where you're coming from so thank you.

Do it, in 1980 I had an opportunity but circumstances changed, in 1991 I had another opportunity but found an excuse not to go. I regret both. Do it, take a step into the unknown have an adventure, live

I was in similar position 6 months ago. Moved to a new town where i knew one person thinking i would make new friends and 6 months later i havent. Im very lonely on a day to day basis and still wonder if i did the right thing. I prolly havent. Sometimes it gets so bad it makes me not want to be here anymore. So grab life by the balls but choose wisely!

Surely ..you only have to walk in yr local..you will have plenty of attention. ..

On a serious note..join some clubs in your area.

Nope noone notices me. I find it very difficult to talk to people i dont know. Small talk is really not my strong point so even joining clubs and activities i just sit quietly in the corner. If noone talks to me i dont start a conversation

I'm the same it's hard to find people that put me in that comfortable place where I get told to shut up but mostly so shy it actually hurts in a way.

I have met a few amazing people on here who have helped me along my journey on here.

1)Living companion - process could be longish to go through paperwork

2)Teacher overseas - not sure about procedures

3)House parent (boarding schools or dorms)

4)Housekeeper/gardener/chauffeur - live-in

I think the last 3 types of jobs you can find in "Lady" magazine online - and other job sites. Good luck

Brighton - even Hove!

Get a camper van and see how long you can keep going for on £10 a day.

Look up WOOFER or WORK AWAY which are web sites were you go live with some one for board and food in exchange for a few hours work a day.

Good luck.

Do you have a trade? Maybe look for work somewhere like the Falklands, Ascension Island etc.

I've done just exactly that a couple of years back. I got made redundant so I decided to relocate 150 miles away from Home.

It is by far the best thing I've ever done, started my life from scratch! New job, new friends, new opportunities and this to this day I am very happy with my decision as speaking to my friends from my Hometown they're all hating it. Sometimes you need that push to get you to take that leap forward! But it is definetely something worth doing if you feel like it will be for the better. The risk will always be there.

The only live in jobs I know of are in the hotel trade or farming. Do you have skills in either op?.

I am actually in this exact same position. This is what I've done (and plan to do):

Last day of work is next week.

A month back to the US to reset myself.

In the process of buying a place on the water in a coastal village, far from London.

I plan to start letting rooms B&B style in the summer, something I've always wanted to do.

Eventually buy a motorhome and travel around the UK and Europe for extended periods of time.

Free time: write, get to know my new county, and meet people.

Adjust plans as I go along.

Uprooting and changing your place in the world doesn't change who you are

I made the move from Lancashire to the the beautiful Highlands all I seem to have done is isolated myself haha

I'm still a happy go lucky person but haven't got as many people to bounce off and quite honestly I have days that I regret the move

I feel the same. But January has to effect on me. So maybe you are the same. If that idea is been there for a long time however do it. Never worse than i should have or could have done this that .....

Even a failure is an experience. Save money. Enough to keep u going for 4 months and do what u want to do.

U only live once

Carpe diem

Nice pix btw
