Well that was a long time coming....and, I suspect strongly, with more than a pinch of inside knowledge, that its just the tip of the iceberg.
Eddie Jones has stated "this will be damaging to English Rugby's reputation"
What reputation? Any one with half an eye open for the last 20+ years will only wonder how the RFU have got away with it for so long.
Pointedly, Saracens have simply held their hands up and took it on the chin....so they can avoid publishing their full accounts.

As a Leicester Tigers fan I'm heaving a huge sigh of relief. It's a massive shame for the support staff and to a degree the players. But it was inevitable really. |

When I read the other day they were getting relegated, first I thought fair enough, then saw that they had accepted the punishment in order to keep their books hush hush, I thought they're hiding a lot more. Will we ever find out how much more though? |

And OP I do agree. I don't think this is over but with sarries taking the relegation option I doubt very much we'll see just much they've hidden away.
They could still make a jump into the PRO14 as yet. Then they wouldn't have to shed so much talent. It's a thought |
