Define 'nudist family'.
Families who spend most or a great deal of time naked in each other's company whether at home or on holiday - vanishingly rare.
Families who go on naturist holidays together - less rare and from my observations tend to be mostly made up of parents with quite young children.
There are many other ways in which nudist and non nudist members of families coexist of course but situations where all members of the same family wander around uninhibited at any point in time are very nearly the realm of fantasy.
Just think about it - Little johnny wants to invite his friend round. He has to then inform all other members of the family in the home that the friend is coming and that everyone has to cover up to save his embararrasment.
Does little johnny tell his school friends everyone walks around nude at home all the time? Unlikely.
In the current climate can you honestly see schools not taking a pretty dim view of this?
I would be surprised if wanting to raise a naturist family didnt earn you a visit from social services these days.
I can imagine that many/most parents of the friends of any kid in a nudist family would be reluctant to allow their child to spend any time in their company . Not necessarily becuase they believed that the nudist parents were doing anything they shouldn't but to protect their own child from the possibility that they might.
It's the same reason most people with kids who are swingers don't broadcast to their friends, or other friends who have kids that they are.

Ive just joined a couple of groups and hope to get out to the meets.
In the 80s I was seeing a girl in Edinburgh who brought the subject up one night. She told me her parents were naturists and would be naked when she took me to meet them. I hadnt a clue what naturists were all about apart from what I had read in papers and it seemed to suggest they were all shagging one another so I was a bit worried about what I was getting into.
However she gave me a book to read about the subject that put my mind at ease.
When I met her parents I was asked to strip off in the hall before going into the room to meet them. She gave me a little tug on my cock and got me hard so when I met her parents I had a semi on haha.
They were a lovely family and we went on a few outings with the club they were members of in Scotland |

I was a council house lad but my friend at school can from a very middle class family that used to holiday abroad, we are talking 1970’s, if his mum came out of the shower, she only wrapped a towel around her waist so you could see her tits and one day his very fit sister walked through the lounge in just bikini bottoms to sunbathe in the garden, they were all very free around each other naked, his sister sat opposite me at lunch one day in a very loose cheesecloth dress and no underwear, I nearly came in my pants, I was about 14 |

We got keenly into naturism about 20 years ago, and I have to say we never felt more fit, relaxed or healthy than during those early years. Sex was fantastic too. We have less opportunities these days due to work but hope to get back to it this summer. |

We are naturist. Both of us were not brought up that naturist but as we got older its just a natural state for us. We don't raise our family (big blended family) as naturist. To be fair I think if we'd had all our kids together we wouldn't raise them strictly naturist although we are. It's important that kids have autonomy over their own bodies and it's for them to decide. However more of them may have been more inclined to want to if we had been been naturist from the start.
Generally our family isn't naturist bar the eldest. It no secret from freinds and family. When we are nude at home and everyone is welcome to be as naked or clothed as they feel comfortable. Its purely a matter of personal freedom and how you feel comfortable. Some of our wider freinds and family are comfortable to be around us nude, some are not and some happily get naked with us. We are totally happy to cover up around the house for those who are not comfortable with Nudity as required. A level of deconfliction is important because its everyones home and you need to respect peoples right to feel comfortable at home. And of course when we are out in the garden or in the hot tub people know not to come out if the nudity bothers them (most of them are not that bothered or simply just keep a little distance). One day we hope to have a seperate dedicated clothing optional room where we can totally relax indoors without imposing ourselves on any of the family who are uncomfortable with Nudity.
And that's basically how we balance being naturist raising a family who are predominantly not naturist. |

I don't understand why anyone has a problem with nudity - we are the only mammals on the planet that feel the need to cover our bodies. The world would be a better place if nudity was allowed and people could just be nude if they wanted too without having to find special places to visit and be branded pervs for losing the clothes.... |

I have been a naturist for over 30 years and with great weather we have been having I have hardly been dressed day and night. I am going to Vera Playa Club hotel on Thursday so will be naked for two weeks in the hotel beach and the surrounding streets |

Sorry - my quick answer was a tad too quick. As others say, erections are natural and my general sense is that I will just move somewhere more private, or take a dip in the sea or something. Anything as long as I'm not waving it in someone's face.

Of course some do. Look at cap dagde. When my wife was alive we used to go with my then teenage daughter. We all swung (separately) now I live with my daughter in a naturist house but we still swing, just not together. |

Some do, and some don't. Generally, swinging in a naturist environment is generally frowned upon and can cause problems. There's no reason why they can't. It's a bit like asking if lawyers swing.
Of course some do. Look at cap dagde. When my wife was alive we used to go with my then teenage daughter. We all swung (separately) now I live with my daughter in a naturist house but we still swing, just not together. "

Not nudist but some nakedness if that makes sense. My girls grew up to be confident in their own skin. Even now. My 21 year old still thinks it's OK to come use the toilet while I am in the bath ?? |

If the family is involved in social naturism them yes, if the family is just a home naturist them it will be less common.
Growing up we went always went camping in a social group that was textile optional. Included a lot of the BBQs, birthdays, and other parties and things as well. Not everyone chose to be naked and not everyone chose to wear clothes.

Clover Spa is lovely and welcoming. Drop clothes at the start and all you need is to relax in steam or sauna or jacuzzi or in the garden. Lovely staff. We have stayed 3 times now but lots of people just go for the day. |
