Not the usual chat for the forum, but it's heartbreaking, to see the fires burning in Australia, and it dosent seem to be getting any better, is there anymore they could be doing to stop this beautiful country from being destroyed. The wild life, people losing everything, every country in the world should be there helping to stop this. Do you agree? Maybe you have family there, I have great friends there who have sent me horrific pictures. Totally devastating.

The scale of it is shocking. An enormous lump of land is overheating.

New Zealand is affected by the smoke, apparently.

I think a big problem with the fires is that they’re spread out over a huge area. It takes 4 hours to fly from Perth to Sydney. And you can for the whole of Europe inside Australia, that has a similar population to the uk.

So getting to all the fires at the same time is going to be a massive task. But yes, it’s a huge shame what they’re going through, especially those that have lost their homes and in some cases loved ones.

Yeah we are in Sydney for the summer and it’s very hot. Yesterday was 45 plus in some areas. Luckily we are close to the city so it’s 35.

It’s terrible to see people losing their homes and the loss of wildlife.
